I have an o2 pay monthly mobile phone contract at 10.21 p/m
I still have about 13 months left on my contract, I don't pay by direct debit but pay online monthly the bill comes in on the 28th and I have until the 11th to pay it.
On the payment screen there is a bit that says balance, where if I pay money before my payment date it will sit here.
I was wondering if it would be possible to pay 130 into this so that I don't have to bother remembering to log on every month and pay the bill?

I am pretty sure you can pay in advance.
However, you will have to keep checking that you remain within your monthly limits and don't incur any extra charges.0 -

Yes you can. I do that all the time... O2 will email saying you don't owe any money as your account is in credit. If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0 -
So if you don't want to have to remember to pay, why not pay by DD?!No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Yeah, you can pay a lump sum in, you can do it through the website or phone up customer services and they can do it for you too, just make sure you keep an eye on the bills so you know when you have to start paying again or you can setup a direct debit or a recurring credit card transaction.0

I would advise to still keep the direct debit setup for your account,
if not they can charge the different payment method surcharge...0 -

No they wont, there's no extra charge for paying on an adhoc basis with O2, you can pay via DD, recurring credit card or even just via the phone system, customer services or website every month and it'll just cost the same.0 -

Sorry to rehash an old thread but I thought it would be much better than starting a new one.
How can this be done via their website? I looked and couldn't see an option. I have a contract and as I have sold my old phone I would like to pay the money towards my new o2 contract.
If anyone knows how to do this or if it can still be done I would appreciate any help in directing me on how to do this before I spend the money lol!

... I have a contract and as I have sold my old phone I would like to pay the money towards my new o2 contract....
Have you bought the new contact already?
What happened to the old contract? If it was cancelled, what relevance does this have to the new contract and the question? Or do you want to pay the money to cancel it?0 -
It is absolutely unclear what you want.

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear.
What I mean is that I have recently taken out a new O2 contract over 24 months which includes a new phone.
I have sold my old phone and intend on using the money from the sale to put towards my new O2 contract rather than simply spending it foolishly I want to use it to lower the effective cost of my new contract.
My old contract was with Talk Mobile and they had the option where-in you could make payments towards your account, which I did often, and it came of your bill. My usual form of payment was by DD but I manually credited money to my account when I could afford to.
I hope that has cleared things up and thanks for the reply!0 -
What's the problem?
Sign in >> My mobile bill >> Pay your bill >> MAKE PAYMENT >> ... >> Other amount > ...
They do say:This payment may not cancel any existing Direct Debit or Continuous Credit Card arrangement and may therefore result in additional payment being applied to your account.0
