Just one perhaps stupid questions - my current contract finishes on the 26th - if I order a new phone/contract when does it start? Is it when I actually put the sim in the phone - in which case I could order now and put the sim in 2 weeks time?

24 - 48 hours from receiving, your new sim gets activated and thus your contract starts.

Thanks people! I had a feeling that might be the case. I shall hold off ordering for a couple of weeks!!!

Why??? If you are taking out a totally new contract and the deal you want is available NOW why wait to see if it's gone in two weeks?

Better that than lose the deal if it's so good. The best deals don't stay for long. But then all my deals are free anyway.

Just to chip in - I asked e2save if I had to activate the sim when I ordered + was told that it happens automatically within 3 days. It was already working when I put it in my phone the next day :)

We only know that the deal in question was 'good'.

True. Maybe it's not as good as I would accept, in which case its potential loss is not important (and less likely).

The deal is very good, but I have been monitoring it for the past few weeks and it is still around.

I don't really want two overlapping contracts, and as there are several deals around I could order with the same phone, I am happy to gamble and not order until the end of next week.
