The phone and broadband provision is done by BT Openreach, who are a law unto themselves when it comes to scheduling, even Sky may not know the exact date that they will turn up. But several weeks after the TV install is very common it seems. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

You obviously don't remember the good old days of British Telecom monopoly when it was perfectly standard to wait 6 months or more for a new line.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Sky don't know the exact date that the BT engineer will 'provision' you.
It's usually somewhere within a 2 week window.
Sky Sales staff never seem to explain this very well. I worked at sky bb tech support and always used to get customers ringing up who were still in the provisioning period0
