'I've just contacted customer service via chat and was instructed to phone a specialised eBay harrasment line, or something. Just wondering what your opinions on this are. Should I go through with it? '

never heard of this in all my years of ebaying, anyone else...?

Ebay are well known for telling a customer anything they want to hear just to get them off the phone.

Having read the threads on here and eBay relating to this, I can only surmise the eBay worker had a narrow escape.

Simmed is obviously a troll and wanted to stir things up, but I doubt he planned for his eBay account to be outed. He is lucky he has pulled this stunt on a friendly forum, because on another I go to, they'd have seized on that mistake, got his contact details from the seller he screwed over, and had quite a lot of fun messing with him. Simmed's been doing a good job of winding everyone up but I think the threads should be locked now before he does too good a job and ends up in a tad of bother! :(

(Check other posts by simmed if in doubt about troll status)

Care in the Community just doesnt work for some people does it?
  • LOL, yes I agree I think the seller probably got annoyed at this 'individuals' attitude as well, as he/she thinks it's ok to 'order' people around. God do you know, I have following this 'long drawn out saga' on Ebay. What an absolute fuss  Life's too short if you ask me!!
So he is responding to emails FROM you, but his emails replying to your emails are considered harrassment.

And yes, you are trying to commit fraud, you supplied your address but forgot to make an amendment to the address and so are claiming for non-delivery. I guess this could be classed as fraud in the eyes of the law, yes. They are sending to the place where they have been instructed to, on the payment confirmation. In a court of law (small claims) it would be this that rules in their favour. I did warn you yesterday that this could cost you dear. That seller could have been ripped off before and your fraudulent claim has tipped him over the edge.

You really are rather silly aren't you? He has obviously got annoyed with your attitude (which quite clearly shows on the other thread I might add) and started making threats in the hope that you would leave him alone.

How many times did you tell him that he was wrong and you was right? I lost cound on the other 2 threads to be fair. I think it took 7 pages on MSE and 85 posts on eBay before you actually considered you might have been to blame.

You can go ahead and report him if you wish but they will so go through your emails too.
  • What a complete pain in the ****! Thank god I don't sell on Ebay anymore. Quite honestly idiots like this should be banned from buying on Ebay! I for one would rather GIVE stuff away, then sell it to them. Talk about stubborn and pig headed!! I hope the seller sues them! :j And to bring 'PMT' into it all just shows them up for what they really are...CHILDISH!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oooh, you naughty girl, now he can see my post. I am clearly still in my PMT phase so please amend accordinally.

I cannot be the only thinking he is a complete nut job, can I? It feels like relentlessly banging your head against a brick wall. Go on, someone please him buy saying that he should call the number, it is what he has been waiting for. I would but he can't see it. 9000 posts and someone has finally blocked me.

Buyers like him are the reason I gave up eBay.

Hi all, I skimmed over some posts but will only be reading ones which pertain to the question asked in the OP! Feel free to spam your little hearts out however :)

Oh dear, what a loser. If this is representative of the general public, no wonder the country is in such a state.

I've been lucky on ebay *touches wood* and haven't encountered any nutters...yet.

OP, in your sig you say you are practising ascetism (abstinence from worldly pleasures) yet you have bought handcuffs?
