Since my OH has been taking Cherryactive tablets he has not had another bout of gout.

Now I've said that I've tempted providence !

He is also more careful about what he eats. Used to love pickled herrings but not a good choice if you are prone to gout. Funny how it has not changed his view on beer ....

    Hi all!
    Thanks for all the advice.
This weekend I managed to walk two of the dogs together for the first time! I am quite pleased.:j Just about to walk them all now.
The dogs are all medium large (lab/german shep, german shep/bearded collie(?) and whippet staffie cross). We decided to walk them separately to improve their walking and give them some one to one time (it has worked).

Here's an example of why they are a 'handful'. W/s will go mental getting out the door but then is very reliable and trustworthy to walk off lead. L/GS is very good at walking etc. but not at meeting other dogs (usually just wants to play but can seem a bit agressive); GS/BC is just loopy and does a run and pull and stop every three meters if she is excited and after 15 minutes of excellent fetch off lead can go bombing off at people/cyclists/other dogs, stops about a meter away (usually) and then returns (x2) apparently just for a lark. All three just wind each others problems up. On their own they are as near to angels as they are ever going to get!:rotfl:
Although I put on the 'I am in control thinking hat' I have no chance with all three! I would like to control the dogs by sorting the behaviour, hence the training lessons and also I am 5'4'', OH is over 6'' and much stronger than me, and just sort of pulls them around if they are naughty.
OH is working from home so can work despite being off his foot (Hurrah. Actually sometimes this is worse, especially if he tells me all about the full day's splendid achievements at work whilst I am leading up the dogs to go out five minutes after coming in from mine!) His way of dealing with not walking them is to sleep downstairs with them ! I don't have to be his 'carer' and am not doing everything for him as I don't want to start that sort of relationship.

Anyway, thanks for the vent. I have talked to OH about this but I believe that I should be able to work out a lot of this for myself. I knew that he came with 3 dogs and I knew he had gout (oh and that he was vegan), I just didn't know it would be this tricky!
