Another vote for sarnies but I also love fish fingers, mash and peas smothered in thick parsley sauce.

Thank you for all your replies. I must say, I was actually thinking more along the can you mash 'em up and make 'em into something else which some have you suggested

    BUT THEN

I said to DH: "Do you fancy a fish finger sandwich?"

So that's what we're having for lunch tomorrow. I haven't seen him so excited at the prospect of lunch since ooh, at least earlier on today! :rotfl:

I've just made some French bread (ie bread machine bread made with French flour so tastes like a baguette but comes in convenient sandwich-sized slices) and even I am looking foward to it now!

Although DD and DH have just cut themselves enormous slices off the loaf so I may have to put another one on for tomorrow.

    Thanks again!

(Another fan of good food i.e. sea bass, salmon who can't resist a fish finger sandwich - my preference would be for french stick and tartar sauce.)

I'm sure they'd love 'em, but I don't fancy fishy eggs! Mind you, they will eat anything... and the next generation is no better: one of the chicks picked up a tiny little twig today and they were all fighting over it. This was just before DH decided to show one of the chicks to the dog and then had to snatch it away quickly as said dog clearly thought it was a tasty snack...

:D I gave mine several tins of anchovies/sardines in sunflower oil because they'd been hanging around in the cupboard for years. (anchovies, not chickens). Eggs are fine :D

Hmm, my chickens gang up and assault the cats if they cme past with caught mice. And slow worms drive them crazy. TBH, fish fingers would be among the better things the chickens could go wild over.

I agree with another poster ,if you really can't face three packets of them find a couple of noisy boys I have four DGS who would happily chop your arm off for them as Mum isn't keen on them for the same reasons you wern't (force fed them back in the 1970s, mainly because they were an inovation to those of us who had just bought freezers)My grandsons adore them as a 'treat' yet won't touch decent fish at all.Kids are so strange aren't they
