Hi everyone, welcome to the May 2011
    Bankruptcy Club.

This club is for everyone who has gone through the process of Bankruptcy during May 2011. So please feel free to join and post.

Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.

Remember this is your board so keep posting.

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.

Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.

Please leave a post when you have been declared BR, and I will update the list.

*PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE TOO MUCH INFO, THE IS ARE KNOWN TO FREQUENT THIS SITE AND TOO MUCH INFO MAY MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL CASES, SO KEEP INFO TO A MINIMUM, ie USERNAME AND DATE ONLY."

We had our OR interview yesterday, took about an hour and forty five minutes to do us both. Very detailed.

    Things that surprised me?

    1. When asked what we had spent the credit card money on, living expenses was not deemed a suitable response. It had to be specific, food, petrol, car tax , clothing etc etc

    2. I think I kept the car - I was just asked if I wanted it exempted as I need it for work, said yes and that was that?

    3. How much detail they wanted for what the loans had been used for. Most had been consolidation loans (it takes a while to reach this point you know) so then it was 'what was the consolidated loan used for?' TBH I couldn't remember half the time and really had to strain the old grey matter...............so be ready.

    4. Kept the pension, no changes and can keep paying it.

    5. Will have to buy the interest back in the life insurance (expected)

Not sure about the house. We have about £4k equity at the mo, if they went fo that I'd be happy as I have a thied party offer to assist to buy the interest. He did mention the markets were due to rise and he said they have 3years to deal with the house (I thought 2yrs 3 months?) but hey ho, just have to wait and see.

I am now waiting for documentation, the IPA figures (We'll have a surplus just hope he accepts my SOA based on the figures here) and see what happens.

It still seems surreal and I feel that the phone will ring and there will be more questions........... perhaps I'm just paranoid.

    Good luck to you all.
