Sky HD Box....

Had the replacement sky hd box for just over a month, and having problems yet again.... box constantly freezing, and having to unlug and reset the box to get the remote to work...
called sky last night, and they advised that doing a planner rebuild should cure the problem, tried that and within 15 minutes, the box had frozen again.... called sky back, and after about 10 mins on hold, spoke to somebody, who said he would transfer me to somebody else (the person, decided to transfer me the the sky freesat department for some reason!), decided i had by now had enough of Sky (had 8 service calls in just over 12 months - on 3rd HD box, 3rd LNB, 3rd or 4th cabling, 2nd dish!!!!!!)... asked to be put through to cancellations, and they guy kept apologising for all the problems we have had.
He then proceeded to advise me that he could probably get his manager to authorise a brand new Sky HD box (all the ones including the original were a Grade A refurb box!) and that would cure the problems of the box freezing!!!!! I advised how could he be sure that it would cure the freezing and he advised that it was a brand new box (i then went back with so the grade a boxes are not up to the job of being used, which he came back, with that the grade a boxes pass a 75 point check!!!
So basically (in my eyes) have been supplied with a refurb box that sky seem to know that could have problems (which is why they have offered me a brand new replacement box!), but the downside to this is that i would have to enter a new 12 month contract and be tied to sky for another year (which if its anything like the last 12 months has been the year from hell with Sky!), he advised that there is no way to get a brand new box (without entering a 12 month contract) and i advised that i would rather not enter a 12 month contract with sky and possibly encounter similar problems down the line and be unable to cancel the contract giving just 31 days notice!
He also advised, that i should have been informed that after i had had 6 problems with the installation, then i could have cancelled the contract early without any charges, due to sky being unable to supply the product i had ordered and paid for! I was never informed of this, and advised that i would have to discuss the option of the brand new box with the other half...... but i was seriously considering cancelling sky and would call back when i had discussed it with the other half (he did try his best to keep our custom, but have to say that i still feel like telling them to cancel the account and we will look at other options!).
sorry for the long post.
