The 1.8 million people who applied for Olympic tickets should keep an eye on their bank balance or credit card bill over the next few weeks.
The 2012 bosses have promised to let applicants know if they have been successful getting tickets by 24 June.
However, they will start taking payments from bank accounts in the next few weeks.
Applicants will not be told in advance exactly how much they will be charged, or exactly when the money will go out.

So today's the day, gotta keep an eye out on my account. I'll be logging in every day to see if any money's come out. I won't have enough in my current account to cover all the tickets, but it's Halifax so £5 a day, but I'll have spare cash to transfer in.
The max that I applied for is £1150!!! (3 people most tickets)
Good value ones including football 2 matches for £20 at Wembley! BARGAIN!
I did apply for opening and closing ceremony for the £150 seats, better chance getting these than the cheapest ones lol.
Also applied for velodrome tickets, I REALLY want to see the cycling. Also applied for centre court wimbledon and roaming tickets (different days of course), so fingers crossed I'll get something!0 -
I have to say, it doesn't exactly help people to manage their bank accounts if the only way of finding out if they have a ticket is through through their balance! Thankfully my 'bid' is through a credit card.
Let's hope the Olympics themselves are run more efficiently!!
Incidentally some current accounts such as Nat West provide a free text if your balance falls into debt or below a certain amount.0 -
OK, step away from the banking login, no payments will be taken for another week....

About 1.8 million people applied for 20 million tickets, yet only 6.6 million tickets are available.
Seems rather unfair on those which couldn't afford to apply for many tickets0 -

Well there are still events not sold out and if anyone doesn't got ANY tickets they are first in line to buy the tickets for the 2nd wave of ticket buying.
I think over 1 million tickets were not sold. It's the high profile events that sold out, and I'm guessing the more expensive tickets weren't sold out either.0 -
man well it looks like I wont be going0
