Obviously this will depend upon your interests. For me, it would be nice to see something of the athletics events, and perhaps a few others.
Has anyone studied the stadium to determine the best value for money seats?
Here is the site, I understand we have until the 26th April.

TOP 10 TICKETING TIPS
Ticket prices
1. It's a marathon, not a sprint. You can apply for tickets between 15 March and 26 April 2011. Take your time – it's not first come, first served. Everyone has an equal chance.
2. Start planning. There are 26 exciting sports to choose from, all of which will offer a great Games experience. Talk to friends and family about the sports you want to see.
3. Think about your budget. Tickets start from just £20 in every sport, and 90 per cent cost £100 or less.
4. It's a family affair. There are special prices for young people and seniors across all sports and in more than 220 sessions, so the whole family can enjoy the greatest show on earth.
5. The Games are for all. Wheelchair spaces are available in all price categories for every sport, subject to availability – and a companion seat is included in the cost of a ticket for a wheelchair space. Accessible seating will also be available.
6. Increase your chances. Consider applying for the early rounds of competition, not just the sessions when medals will be awarded.
7. It's a UK-wide Games. The Olympic Park is in east London, but competition will take place at venues across the capital and around the UK.
8. You will need a Visa card to apply online. Visa will be the only payment card accepted when you apply for tickets on the official London 2012 ticketing website. You can also pay by cheque or postal orders if you apply using the paper application form contained in the official ticketing guide.
9. Don't be fooled by bogus websites and organisations claiming to sell tickets to the Games. The official London 2012 ticketing website is https://www.tickets.london2012.com.
10. Sign up! Sign up at https://www.tickets.london2012.com to get all the information you need to help you apply for the greatest tickets on earth.
There will be a total of 8.8 million tickets on sale – 75 per cent of which will be available to the public via the ticket application process. Ninety per cent of tickets will be priced £100 or under, two thirds of tickets will be priced £50 or under and 2.5 million tickets will be priced at £20 or under.
The wide range of ticket prices will see those at the higher end of the market balancing the availability of millions of lower price tickets on sale.
There will also be special ticket prices for over 200 sessions, with a 'Pay Your Age' scheme for young people aged 16 or under in 2012. So anyone aged 11 will pay £11, an eight year old £8 and so on. People over 60 will pay £16 for these sessions.

ive gone for 2 of the first athletic events that dont have medals in them as you get a variety of events and quite a few hours. Depends if you want to see medal ceremonys or not.0

I've applied for D tickets, morning session of the 3rd and 4th August, for me and a senior citizen. The senior citizen seat costs £16 for D or E so it looks like a good deal for him!
We will be lucky to get 1 of these tickets anyway.
Two days to go for anyone who hasn't applied0 -
I have applied for:
July 31st - Hockey - Evening Session - Category D
Wednesday 1st - Cycling TT - Free Event
Thursday 2nd - Handball - Morning Session - Category D (With 1*Senior Special)0 -

Any £20, pay-your-age or pensioner ticket is really excellent value, especially with the London travelcard included.
Has anyone noticed, the Terms and Conditions say no food and drink to be taken into events. With children in tow, having your picnic and drinks confiscated could set you back probably more than the price of their tickets!:T:j :TMFiT-T2 No.120|Challenge started 12.12.09|MFD 12.12.12 :j:T:j0 -
Wimbledon ground tickets are good value.
We were going to get badminton tickets but then realised that it costs like 5* as much as the World Championship which is going to be in August at the same venue.0 -
London 2012 Olympic ticket demand passes 20m
London 2012 organisers have revealed that they received applications for more than 20 million tickets from 1.8 million people for the Olympic Games.
That figure is more than three times the 6.6 million tickets available to UK sports fans for the event.
The organisers have also said more than 50% of the 645 sessions will go to a random ballot and that 95% of the applications are from the UK.
"We're thrilled with the response," said London 2012 chief Lord Coe.
"Certain events have seen massive demand - for example the Opening Ceremony, which is more than 10 times oversubscribed.

Not feeling too confident for my two applications in the stadium, although they were only for early low key morning sessions
Why do I think there is going to be ticket tout heaven?0 -

what sessions have you applied for, i do think with my hockey and basketball preliminaries i should be ok. Thing is a lot of people will have applied who are not sports fans and will be applying for the "blue ribboned" events. take a look at the figures they say 20 million tickets have been applied for and 10 times on the opening ceremony thats a whopping 800,000 plus tickets in that total that have been over subscribed.
True sports fans have been savvy i think and gone for the preliminaries not medal or semi final rounds.0 -
First two mornings of the Athletics. I guess many of the non athletic events without British sportspeople competing might be empty. Remember Bejing?0
