Cheapest O2 package

Hi,
Got broadband and landline with O2, just transfered my mobile away from them.
Because the mobile account is no longer with them I pay an extra £5 per month for my broadband package.
Is there a way of having a sim with minimal credit on that will allow me to keep the discount?
Could I just give them a number of a friend that has an O2 phone?
I do have a handset I could use, just need a Sim.
Or is it not worth the hassle for the £5pm difference??
Thanks

Just noticed this
, you must top-up a £10 minimum every 3 months to keep your discount
So thats 4 top ups over the year being £40 enabling me to save £60 from the broadband cost.
hmm £20 doesn't really seem worth it.
Only remaining question is can I just give them a friends number who is on O2?0 -
Depends, if it's a pay and go sim your friend has and they never registered there name then I don't se why not.
But if it's a monthly one it has to be in the policy holders name0 -

I am not sure it has to be in the policy holder's name. I registered my work mobile (its on o2) to get the £5 discount on my broadband.0
