Mouldy unexpired food?

Hi,

Have just bought some pasta sauce from Sainsbury's and it has evident mould in the top of the jar. It is within the expiry date (over a year!) and am wondering if there is a process of suing them or just getting a refund?

Thanks

    Suing them? For what?

Take it back and get a replacement/refund.

    Idiot.
  • The best course of action I've found is to contact the manufacturer of the product quoting the date and the code on the jar/tin - and they will refund your costs + maybe some vouchers as well as an apology.

Once it's all mixed in with the mince you'll not notice it anyway.

    :rotfl: ,,,,,,
  • Sue them for the emotional damage and for infringing your Human Rights.

Once you have successfully sued them take out a contract on all the Directors of Morrisons to make sure someone else does not have to suffer this fate worse than death:rotfl:

But a child could have eaten it... ;)
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
