    You will have to pay the full premium to the Co-op for the first car, as the policy is an annual one, and you were being allowed to pay the premiums monthly. As there has been a claim there is unlikely to be any refund of premium.

    You will also have to pay a year's premium for your new car - make sure you disclose the accident to the insurer even though the claim was on your father's policy. You will also not have any no claims as the bonus on the other policy was your dad's.
