Freeview box?

If I could ask for some advice and if get an answer I would be very grateful.
I need a Freeview box! My telly in the bedroom does no longer work due to the switch over (although I thought ours was going to be September!!)
I have a Freeview box downstairs and the telly there works fine. My son also has a telly in his bedroom, which now doesn't work.
We live in a poor reception area for Freeview anyway, but could someone please give me some advice as to which Freeview box I should be looking at.
I can't afford to spend very much, but need something which will give me the best signal possible.
Options such as Sky is completely out of the question due to cost. As is a new arial, the one I have is fairly good and quite new!
Sorry the rambling, not very clued up on technology!
Thanks

There may be a VERY slight difference in performance V signal received in different boxes, but in reality its not going to help you if poor signal is going to the bedrooms.
If you are watching freeview via a stb in the lounge then move that to the bedroom, if it does not work your cabling/distribution installation needs work, but it would seem your actual aerial is OK.0 -
Is there a rooftop aerial feed to your bedroom and your son's bedroom as well as the lounge?? If not and you are using indoor aerials then you may not be able to receive Freeview at all.0

Thanks!
I just borrowed my neighbours spare Freeview box, pluggedit into each telly and we have signal and a good picture!
Not every Freeview channel was available, but more than enough to watch. I imagine the signal may have improved over the past 18 months.
Off to get a cheap box today, happy days!8 months to go till end of the IVA :j:rotfl::T0
