    It depends on the roots. It does okay with dandelions because they have a good root, and thistles too. I suspect creeping buttercup has fine roots, but I am sure someone will correct me if not.

    It does not get all of the root if it is deep, but it does get at least 2", often more, depending on how well you were able to align the tool with the weed root system. It is no good at path edges, sadly. I guess glyphosate paste and a paint brush would kill those.
