Item picked up from B&Q £23.40:j
Huuby loves a new gadget but hates gardening, the gadget loving won over and he has happily spent the past 30 minutes dandilion culling
That's a good price. My comment was actually aimed at the Tesco double the difference referenceNow thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0 -
I picked one up yesterday at homebase, they wouldnt price match Focus as there isnt 1 in 10 miles but I did get free seceteurs (spelling) with it.
DH got addicted to it in the afternoon with dandelions lol, it does actually work really well.0 -
Makro have these on offer now for 19.99 + VAT0

Having missed out on these at Focus and B&Q, I went to Makro yesterday and got one for £23.99 (inc VAT)
Thanks for the heads up.
Time to go out now and try it out.0 -
can anyone tell me if you can use these in hard soil? I was hoping to use one at the allotment (along the grass paths) but the ground is so hard at the moment I cannot imagine it will penetrate the soil.
Thanks0 -
I don't think so. You have to place it vertically down onto the ground, and use your foot to push down on the low bracket to push it into the ground.
So if the ground is 'rock hard' then you have no chance.0 -
If anyone is still looking for this, you can get it from B&Q today with free secateurs and 15% off, using the voucher on the main MSE site here. Just got them from my local.
This it?

It doesn't say anything about free secateurs?
It works out £25.50 with the voucher, is that the cheapest deal?0 -

That's the item. No mention of freebies in my B&Q on Wednesday (but they had no stock either). I paid £23.99 (inc VAT) at Makro on Wednesday evening.0
