Long story, i bought it by mistake. It was £1.49. And i really dont wanna throw it away, but none of us actually like tomato ketchup. I tried to put some in bolognas, but it made it taste too vinegary.
Any ideas?

Yikes, that is a LOT of ketchup! could you try selling it to your local kebab/chip shop?Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Blimey. Presents for friends? Or have a massive bbq!
Could use it in marinades (I normally do) with some honey, soy sauce, mustard, herbs, oil, basically anything that will go. Marinade chicken legs/drumsticks/wings in it for a while before cooking - yummy!
Perhaps you could freeze some?
Not really sure if you don't like the taste of it though... hope you think of something0 -
Try again with the bolognese but add a teaspoon of sugar. It can counteract the acidity - also useful if you make a bolognese sauce with very cheap tinned tomatoes, sometimes they can taste a little sharp.0

I am sure you could freeze it. At worst it might split and need a good stir when you defrost it. If you did it in ice cube trays then decant into a bag you could just take out one or two blocks for use in a sauce.
It will also last a fair old while in the fridge if it is the cheapy stuff with plenty of vinegar in it!
I normally use a squeeze in bolognese and tomatoey pasta sauce, but only a squeeze! We go through a normal bottle about twice a year. You could also look up recipes which include it - there are recipe websites with a function where you input your ingredients and it gives you recipes that use those ingredients. I am sure someone on here who uses such a site will be along with the link soon enough! *cheeky grin*
Do you know anyone who does like it? I am sure they would be happy for you to refill one or two of their old bottles, perhaps in exchange for something they have bought/grown/made lots of, either now or in the future...
The only thing my OH will eat it on is hot dogs. Is there something similar you will put it on that you could consciously eat more of? Still, that is a helluva lot of hot dogs!
ETA: The acidity in bolognese can also be helped with a splosh of milk! Wierd, but it works.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -
I'd seriously consider using it as a base for some pickle or chutney-making0

Ask around. If I was local to you I'd buy it off you...it wouldn't take my lot long to get through that much ketchup! Or perhaps your local school or sports club is having a summer BBQ or burger stand at their summer fair?Val.0

If you like chilli sauce ( like you get in the takeaway) mix in some mint sauce and a bit of chilli and voila! And I have frozen it before. I use my silicon muffin tray to freeze in usable portions, then just pop them into a bag and remove one when you need it.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Do you like prawn cocktail sauce? (I'm not keen on tomato ketchup but love it mixed with mayonaise.) That is a lot of prawn cocktail, though!0
