Is it bad that I'm jealous because I love ketchup? Lol.

I add a couple of tablespoons of tomato ketchup to stews and some curries (as I usually find that the tomato paste tube is empty). but, I use the most amount for BBQ marinades.
    my marinade recipe is
a good cupful of tomato ketchup
    teaspoon of worstershire sauce
a couple of garlic cloves crushed
    Salt and black pepper
teaspoon of sugar - any kind
mix it all together and you can add some chopped chillies if you like it hot or some tabasco if you have it.
put your meat in a large plastic bag or bowl and mix well with the marinade then leave overnight or for at least a couple of hours and remove the meat and cook it!
  • Hi
there is a lovely (and very easy recipe) for sweet and sour sauce at the beginning of the grocery challenge thread. From memory you only need tom sauce, vinegar and brown sugar. Hope this helps.
