Mobile contrat for bad credit help.
Options
Hi,
I would like to get a mobile contract but have a bad credit rating. I have tried sim only but have been refused. Is there any way I could get a contract with sim only and pay 3 months in advance so there is no risk for them?
Also, I am self employed and have a business bank account. Would I find it easier getting a mobile phone contract if it was regisetered for business?
It is amazing how I am still being prejudiced against after 3 years but when those !!!!s get into trouble they expect tax payers money to help them out. Should have let them all go bust.
Thanks for your help.

How would paying 3 months in advance negate their risk? That would only apply if you stayed within your text, data and minutes limit. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

You are overlooking the risk to the, if you pay up front, is not the up-front line rental, but the potential to run up large usage bills. Now I am not suggesting that you will, but that is the potential.
I don't know how long you will carry the stigma of your credit history, but the trouble is it takes only weeks to get a bad name and years to lose it.
I have read that 3 are more lenient in credit checking, followed by T-Mobile. If you fail down that path, then MSE members generally push Giff-Gaff as being the best PAYG and they may work on a DD automatic top up basis that is about as close to a contract as you will get.
You will, however, need a handset.
Good luck :beer:0 -
What's wrong with PAYG?
Also, the contract that you was refused, was it a long term or a rolling contract?0 -
The reason why I want a contract is because for example 100 minutes and 300 texts for £10 per month only costs £10 per month on contract but would cost up to £50 on payg.
I cant see why they cant limit me to this (100mins 300 text for £10) and if I use them all up I either go without til next month or buy a payg voucher. Therefore no risk to them.
There must be 1000's in the same situation.0 -

With icardmobile 100+300 will cost you £17 if you call to mobiles or £13 if you call to landlines.
With giffgaff you get 250 UK minutes, unlimited UK texts and unlimited mobile Internet for £10.0 -
Whats giff gaff?
The £10 top up vouchers I buy from the shop on vodafone only last a week or so and I hardly ever you my phone, only to report to the wife.0 -

£10=47minutes or 100 texts.0 -
There must be something wrong with my phone then. There is no way £10 = 47 mins and 100 texts for me.
Thanks for you help with the links.0 -
