LoanCentre.net

Hi everyone,

Just thought I would warn everyone on here to stay away from a company called the loan centre.

When searching for a payday loan, I was taken to their website, and had to input my card details to "verify my identity", there was nothing stating any fees.

Little did I know but in the VERY small print, there is a clause stating they will charge you for putting you in touch with loan companies.

I subsiquently had £75.00 taken from my card.

I have been requesting a refund for OVER 4 WEEKS, and all I get is an automated response on email. There is no contact number for this bunch of cowboys.

I have now reported them to the FSA and will take this further if I do not get my refund issued by the end of the day.

FURTHER WORD OF WARNING - DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SO CALLED COMPANY! Absolute bunch of jokers.

First thing I see on their website are the words..
"A membership fee is payable for our service"

This would cause me to dig deeper - as would putting my card details into ANY site

  • Thanks, but how did they get your card details?

Thanks, but how did they get your card details?

this, but with three more question marks
    helpful tips
    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

When referred to their site, it isn't actually the loancentre.net site you are directed to, its a micro site that tells you you have been approved for a loan, so they need your details to process your loan.

This is very misleading, especially as the people generally applying for a payday loan need it as they are short on funds in the first place!

Can see from the forums that quite a few people have been conned by this company, so was just putting a warning to everyone.

    Many Thanks

Their registered address is 46 Alexandra Street, Southend, Essex, SS1 1BJ and by the looks of things quite a few other companies are registered to this address.

It was one of the Loan Centre's micro sites that took my details, they are all part of the same company. Just trading under another company name. So yes the Loan centre have done wrong!
