Carphone warehouse dont answer phone

:mad: :mad: I have been trying to get through to CW purley way, for 5 days now and they dont answer their phone, i gave my phone in to repair more than 2 weeks ago and i need to call them to ask if they have repaired it because the store is quite far, first i phoned in, i was told that the phone has gone to the repair centre and i called in after 4 days and i was then told that the phone had not gone to the repair centre yet and was due to go on the day i called!!!:mad:
They only answered my call twice in the first week
What should i do and how do i contact them?
I have tried to contact them on these numbers but they never answer the call!

for the Carphone Warehouse dial 0870 111 7400 but dont press any buttons for the option selections. Just wait and it bypasses the menus and you should get through to someone i hope.0

have called up lots of times now but number is engaged, and when it does go through line disconnects0

^ i was told the same thing, and i was also told they would have it done in 7-14 days or they would contact me in 7 days!
but no contact or anything, still i am trying these numbers but no one answers, customer service is appalling0 -
Stores do not answer phones, apparently they dont have time to answer these, when i asked instore why they had them if they didnt answer them they just shrugged their shoulders:rotfl:
P.s I would never buy from CPW again, they lie through their teeth, if they cannot answer a question they hang up or pass you from person to prson then hang up, terrible company0 -

Okay - a few things about CarPhoneWarehouse phone repairs.
1) Most of the repair team are incompetant. They know nothing about repairing phones and only know how to do a reflash of the software and replacing the battery.
2) They do repairs because they get paid by the manufacturers to do so regardless of who sold the phone to the customer.
3) They're integrated SMS system was shafted from day one and does not work. The reason why CarPhoneWarehouse do not pick up the phone is because they are constantly bombarded with customers phoning up because they are not being kept informed of progress on their phone and there is no automated website people can log onto. Furthermore with the SMS system not working its a pain.
4) The way CPW repairs works is this.
i) The phone goes in for repair.
ii) If the phone can be fixed within 14 days they repair it locally, else they send it off to a repair centre. Whatever they do, the customer should get an SMS, but because they don't there is countless waiting on the phone at the local branch.
5) CarPhoneWarehouse have implemented a system where you can phone an 08 number to a branch and then press 3 to get through to repairs. This does not work and the customer is disconnected after 5 minutes of the phone not being answered.
To overcome 5), use the following number:
0870 087 0167
This number dials straight through to the main repairs call centre and if your phone is in for repair no matter at which branch, it will be logged with the system and the people answering the above phone number should be able to give you and update. They should answer within a minute. Its much better than trying to get through to the local branch which will probably have one person answering if he's not doubling up as a sales person or overloaded with local repairs. The above is the main Customer Care number, but its better than the branch numbers.
Also, as with most call centre's your more likely to get through mid-morning and mid-to-endofday afternoon which are not the peak times.

i now definitly think i should have sent the phone straight to sony ericsson, i also told them that if there was going to be a repair charge then they should contact me first, i had trouble with my K750i joystick, now if i find out they have charged me over 20 pounds i'll refuse to pay it as i already discussed it with them when i gave the phone in
