    Thats funny MrsDrink, because when we got our dog I made sure she was registered under my name, when we get married H2B wants me to change all her paperwork with the KC & vets etc to take his surname too:rotfl:

    Our budgie has neither of our surnames, he has his own. Floyd Mayfeather :D

    Not for me, am proud to be Mrs DH! However, my ex husband's 2nd wife has kept her first husband's name and added her second husband's name.....very strange!!!
  • Not for me! I can't wait to take on my new married name

    We had a laugh about it as we would end up with a 15 lettered surname with both parts ending in "on". We gave up on the idea as quickly as we thought about it!!!

    I'm going double-barrelled, but am keeping my previous married name ! May sound strange to some but I want to keep the link with my son, so that he is not the only one in house with that name...H2B has no problems with this at all...my ex FIL is walking me down the aisle, so he has no problems with me keeping their name (nor does ex hubby)
  • I am still trying to decide on this one. I would like to double barrel but am a teacher so it would be a bit of a mouthful for the kids to pronounce. Thinking that I may take H2Bs name as my surname and make my maiden name a 2nd middle name instead, then our kids would end up with two middle names as we would give them my maiden name as their second middle name. I have yet to get H2B to agree to this though :)
  • Ooh, I really like the idea of keeping your maiden name as a second middle name for yourself and your children. I might consider that myself!

    Thanks NearlyMrsMac! :D

  • It is another one which needs a deed poll which I can't work out because we are getting married in Scotland and I have been told we don't have deed poll up here but who knows, will work that bit out after the honeymoon :)

    However you change it, I just like the idea of having your maiden name in there somewhere! It helps that mine is only 4 letters long so not too much of another middle name.

    I couldn't go double barrelled. I'd be Savage-Hawes :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
