Jeans for women with waists?

I’m looking for some dark denim, high-waist boot-cut jeans that will fit someone with a definite waist (i.e. not Tesco or Asda!)…can anyone help with some place to look?

Re price – I’m happy to pay if they fit and are good quality :p

Yes, 26" waist but 39" hips, and quite a high waist too...I like being called "shapely"!

Ok I see what you mean now, lucky you;) I was on the Levis site the other day and they have a new sizing system so that might be worth a look you can put in your measurments and they recommend a style for you:)

hi. i am very similar to size like you too. and after not having bought jeans for a very long time - i spent a few days trying on nearly 70 jeans (at least 5 pairs of different sizes) from the following shops: BHS, Wallis, M&S, New Look, Dorethy Perkins, Oasis, Principles, H&M, Gap, Tesco, River Islands, Next, Jane Norman, Top Shop, John lewis, Miss Selfridge (btw all these shops are in Solihull & Shirley West Midlands). The only places that met my size requirements as well as budget was: Dorethy Perkins, size 10s. I bought black slim leg, denim blue bootleg (2 for £25 offer or £15 individually) and later went back and bought the Skinny Flares same size for £26. i loved how the waist although not extremely high but comfortable to not give a 'builders bum'. I have chosen to buy a pair from H&M later £30. i liked how they have variations in waists and leg lengths. I also really liked the M&S per una jeans in size 10, as they have a definite high waist (i have a very high navel btw), 80's style and fitted me very nicely around the hips. i think they were £30.

all the others jeans were terrible for size in that even trying on size 12, the legs or thighs were really tight, the crotch was so low that if i bent would show buildersbum!

i have seen adverts for a new levi's jeans being designed to fit different figures - so will have to try some one day.

Yes, I'm the same, tried every shop under the sun and the only pair to fit me properly, absolutely made for me, were £300 - Givenchy I think! Shouldn't have tried them on really, but they were the right colour. Husbands face was a picture when he said how much, so I pulled a face and put them back. Now I wear John Rocha at Debenhams as they are the best of a bad bunch.

I once went to a Levis shop where the assistant chose some jeans for me that fitted really well. But, that was a while ago. I haven't worn jeans for ages as I have given up on finding a pair that fits. They are either all the ones that sit low on the hips which means you end up showing your stomach or your knickers when you bend over. Or they are too big in the waist. I find you can't even belt them because there is too much spare fabric.

Have you tried Boden or Joules? I have a little waist and very long legs; the long leg ones fit me a treat. They do a standard inside leg or longer leg.

You sound like me (small waist, big butt/thighs). Miss Sixty and Nudie are good for people like us.

I agree with Miss Sixty, I bought a pair last year that fitted me perfectly (OK i say perfect but being the dwarf that I am, I had to get about a foot taken off the bottom!!). They were very flattering, skimmed over my thighs comfortably whilst buttoning at the waist with no problem.

However, I did find that they wore out or stretched very quickly - I mean literally within about 2-3 months they'd completely lost their shape. I only ever wore them for a few hours at a time, and washed them every 2-3 weeks or so yet the !!! just fell outta them.

I think they were about £100 and although they were perfect, I would have hoped to get a little more use out of them than I did.

Hope you find a pair, and if you do let me know!!! :D
