Pre-Paid Cards for Europe
Firsttimetraveller
I am travelling around Europe for 5 weeks in July and am starting to sort out money for it.
I have been looking at the caxton cards as they don't charge withdrawal fees. However as I will be visiting countries that don't use the euro (sweden for example) do I get the global traveller card, or the euro card??
Also, which is best caxton or fairfx?? I will mainly be using the card to withdraw cash at each new destination, as I don't want to rely on paying directly with it, and neither do I want to carry around lots of cash.
As a back up (incase the prepaid card is lost or stolen) should I also take a credit card, or my usual debit card (natwest)? I know the charges on debit cards are huge, so leaning towards a credit card (which would only be used for emergencys). Which, therefore, are best?? I would only want it for this trip, and possibly would not even need it.
Hope someone can help!

The Travelex Cash Passport Globe is the best value. Though further top ups can take days, so make sure that it's topped up sufficiently the first time.
Definitely take a CC as you'll need it for car hire etc. Take the NatWest Debit for emergency back-up.0
