100 quid M&S Vouchers with upgrade to Sky HD?`

I upgraded last Thursday to Sky HD and upgraded my packages too. I rang up as I wanted to discuss the packages. I asked the man if there were any vouchers on offer and he said no. This morning I woke up to this email and got straight on the phone to Sky!
The girl said that as this was an online offer I couldnt get vouchers. She then said that maybe I could cancel and re-order online. I said well isnt there a deal that could be done to save me having to do this? She called through the cancellation section and came back with I couldnt cancle now as I was in a contract. I asked how I could complain and was given a PO Box address to write too. I am of course happy to write to this address but I can see this dragging on for months!
Has anyone had a similar experience? Ive had problems with SKy in the past and feel determined to get these vouchers!

Thanks

  • After initally being quite excited by this, a conversation with Sky has taken the wind out of my sails. Although I do have a Sky+ box I would like to upgrade, because I already have a Sky+HD box in the sitting room, not only am I not eligable for this promotion, but to upgrade my Sky+ will cost me £250. Some deal - instead up uprgading my SKY+, i am now considering cancelling it!
  • I had a a knock at the door last week and a Sky salesman persuaded me to sign up as they had an offer on for Sky +HD which seemed too good to be true. It was free install, free HD+ box, free HD pack. This would come in at just over £30. We had to take out the movie pack for £8 for the first month to get the deal but could cancel it.

The telly was installed yesterday and I saw the new offer this morning. I missed out on £100 vouchers and also cashback. Gutted. I phoned Sky to tell them and they did nothing. It was an online offer. I felt that the deal was a one-off as the salesman said he was running out of boxes and that it was a new deal. Very true but slightly untrue. Whilst I tried to get the £100 vouchers unsuccessfully I found out that my deal did not include the HD pack and was in fact not a great deal at all.

The dish is coming back down on Tuesday and the only damage is a hole in my wall. You would have thought they would have helped and done a deal but I am glad they haven't as the deal was pretty rubbish in the end. You probably have to speak to the right person to get anywhere to get your vouchers. They had no intention of giving them to me and I am glad now. I have a pvr that is a much better box and I cannot afford to pay for channels that I never watch.
I'm sure I went upstairs for some reason.
  • I am SOOOOOOO angry that they are now offering £100 M&S voucher to upgrade to HD when i only did mine last week - rang up and expressed disappointment and they told me tough can't do anything about it! Raging - still might cancel as part of 31days cooling off period!
  • Pretty in Pink - any chance you could send me the PO Box address as my story is exactly the same as yours!!!
