Flying from UK to Hahn (Frankfurt)

I'm trying to find if there are any alternatives to get to Hahn. All I can find is Stansted to Hahn with Ryanair. Surely there must be other departure points in England? or even other airlines?

Does anyone know of any? Thanks

According to the Hahn Airport Website the only place in England that you can fly from is Stansted - with Ryaniar

Not England, Ryanair from Edinburgh is the other UK airport.
Which place in Germany do you want to go to?
    Where in England are you?

Thanks, yeh I saw Edinburgh. Hahn is the actual destination required, was just hoping for an airport closer to Lincolnshire, unlikely!

Depends how inconvenient going to Stansted is for you. There are some direct flights from BHX to FRA on Lufthansa.

not particularly inconvenient, just trying to keep costs down, I think I'll have to bite the bullet!

If you can get a train down to Peterborough, you could catch the hourly Cross Country Trains service that runs between Birmingham New Street and Stansted Airport. Not great for early mornings or late evenings, but perhaps possible for your location.

Until Ryanair showed up and started calling Hahn "Frankfurt" it had no direct service from the UK. I don't think any other airline has attempted to compete with Ryanair from the UK or Ireland to Hahn.

Thanks, it's terrible how they get away with calling it Frankfurt, as it's 60 miles away from there!

It's great for other places such as Trier for Christmas Markets though.
