Quidco/re-joining Sky

We're thinking about re-joining Sky after three years. We already have a sky + box and so would like to avoid paying a set up fee for a new one. Has anyone managed to go through Quidco/Sky website and find this option or am I going to have to call Sky? If we end up subscribing over the phone, can we get Quidco cashback at all??

Thanks.

I am trying to get a sky package without having to pay for set up. I have been told by 3 different customer service people I cannot do this and have to pay for "set up" even though I have a set up including multi-room.

I would be really interested to hear how you get on because I am hitting a brick wall!
  • Am going to call later today - will let you know if I have any luck Foggster!
  • I upgraded last week from Sky+ to HD and I did the self set up - basically you pay £15 delivery (rip off) and then connect it yourself.

On a side note I am SOOOOOOO angry that they are now offering £100 M&S voucher to upgrade when i only did mine last week - rang up and expressed disappointment and they told me tough can't do anything about it! Raging - still might cancel as part of 31days cooling off period!
  • You will not get a self install option for returning to Sky after a 3 year absence. Part of the install is a check that your system is OK and in fit condition for them to offer their 12 month guarantee on the whole system. Self install options are only available to current subscribers upgrading from Sky+ with a known working system.

To my mind you are being too greedy expecting both avoiding an install fee and cashback.

If you are not already a subscriber note my comments in the post above this. If you are a multiroom subscriber then self was and AFAIK is still only an available option when you are replacing an existing working Sky+ with two cables already in place.

If you want a self install option then purchase a box elsewhere and if you are after a free or subsidised box then pay the install fee.
