Thanks for both responses. Just to round off with a happy ending: I phoned and spoke to the customer care manager and we agreed to meet half way - I kept the boots and they have given me a cheque for half the cost.0

I bought a shower from a shop that had to order it in from another company. On ordering it they said it's non refundable but I believe the item to be faulty. Where do I stand with getting a full refund?0

If it is faulty you have an automatic right under CRA 2015 to a full refund during the first 30 days.
What makes you believe it to be faulty?

2 plumbers have looked at it. Also after fitting the thermostatic mixer we couldn't get any hot water.0

Then return it under CRA 2015 Section22, doesn't matter what the shop says re returning, they cannot override your statutory rights, CRA2015).
I am assuming you bought it less than 30 days ago. Even if it is more, but less than 6 months, the shop has to prove there was no fault at time of purchase.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes it was bought less than 14 days ago. I shall try this today. They want to send it off for testing first but I don't trust them to do this.0 -

In fact, when exercising your short term right to reject under CRA, the onus is on you to prove that the goods are faulty, but it seems they're not too bothered about that.0 -
Hi a sofa company finally decided today that i will get full refund on my debit card but says will take up to 21 days why so long0

I emailed head office with regards to the shower. They are still unwilling to refund and again said about sending for testing. They will also only offer a replacement if it is faulty not a refund. Are they able to do this.
Thanks0
