You signed into a contract and are legally obliged to pay for it.
Excellent advice - Failing that inform them that you are emigrating so the DD will be stopped regardless so what kind of deal can they offer you seing as you have only been in the contract 8 weeks.
Please don't simply not pay them though - Vodafone are well known for trashing credit reports!:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

Thats a tad too strong.
Vodafone are well know for wanting contract paid off, and will use all legal means to do so is more like it.
I'm sure if Morrisions decided they thoughy you should work for free, and stopped payment to you you'd be annoyed too.
The contract was signed, Vodafone will expect it to run to term or any early termination penalties paid. They are not interested in the state of the credit record, just expect to be paid for the service they provided. The other mobile companies do the same, similar posts are all over here for other networks..0 -

And quite rightly so if someone takes out a contract and is not going to pay.0 -
Hi Playtime,
It's great to hear that you have the opportunity to work abroad.
Regarding your contract, most of the responses here are correct. As you are now out of the seven day return period you are unable to return the phone and contract.
The options you now have are to either pay the contract off in one go, carry on paying monthly for it, or (as Ann S has suggested) do a transfer of ownership to someone who can take over the phone and contract.
If you wish to discuss the options in a bit more detail then you can email us here with WRT135 in the subject. We can then take a look at your account and action whichever option you take.
Best wishes,
Heidi
