From my point of view, I don't think the OP is unreasonable to be merely irked by a browser update giving him some spammy bookmarks and saying so. You expect a free browser to come with some spammy bookmarks, but not to re-insert them again in later on.
It's great that you like Opera, but posting an angry retort to someone who voiced a perfectly valid opinion comes off a bit fanboyish really.
I've nothing emotionally invested in saying this, but I can't think of a time when a Firefox update gave me spammy bookmarks - and I'd complain if it did. There have been times when plugins have been installed without the user's permission, but it's mostly been from a 3rd party (such as Microsoft). I use Opera portable on occasion if I have trouble with Firefox, and the engine of Opera is clearly superior.
Just relax, and don't take criticisms of your favourite browser so personally.0 -

^^absolutely agree Russ, both on portable and full-blown version./ blisteringly fast. FF still has the edge on extensions -- but i always used those very sparingly anyway (perhaps 4 ? )/ Compared to Opera, FF drags on all of my machines -- it's all relative but compared to Opera 11 , it's becoming increasingly too slow for me/ Thank God for Opera 11 /BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!
