Need a new phone - which to choose

Hi everyone

I need a new phone as i currently have a really old samsung.

Ideally I would like a phone on which i can access the internet although I don't think I would be a heavy user.

Want the usual text and call features and ideally a camera

I am also going to the USA for 4 weeks and understand that with some WI-FI enabled phones if you use the email through a WI-FI connection, you don't get charged from your data allowance. Does anyone know if this is the case? Is this the case in the UK? If so, I would also like a WI=FI enabled phone.

does anyone know a good phone which I cna get and a reasonably priced contract. I would like around 300mins a month and about 500 texts. I'm on O2 at the mo and would like to stay with them but not sure if they will be too expensive!

any ideas welcome - I'm useless at this phone buying!
