Good luck, I'm still many weeks away from our big day but already nervy and anxious, do let us know how you felt on the day afterwards! x0

Thanks for all the tips.
Going to get some calms and rescue remedy today and see if they take the edge off the nerves a bit. I'm hoping it's just worry about getting things ready, we've only had 3 weeks to plan it and i'm making 60 cupcakes and 60 cake pops for the wedding so got quite a lot to do! Hopefully, once these are done and the day arrives, I will be more relaxed and will just enjoy the day.

i so understand how you feel. i don't remember being nervous at all. i was so excited. i was a bit nervous about the service, we had more at the service than the wedding.i think it was the going into the unknown. i never had any doubts about getting married to my hubby.
i woke up on the say of the wedding shaking with nerves. they came out of now where. i calmed my nerves by sharing a bottle of champagne with my bridesmaid. not everyones idea soloution but it worked for me, it just took the edge off. once i got there and we started saying our vows my nerves completely went and i just found looking at my hubby and concentrating on him and forgetting the crowd really helped. it also helped that the registar kept getting his name wrong and calling him olive and asking if i knew he had a sex change, lol. that made us laugh and really helped to ease any last minute nerves.
good luck with your big day and enjoy every minute it goes so fast. my big day was nearly 9 years ago now.0 -
A friend gave me the advice of just stopping, taking a deep, calming breath and carrrying on. It worked too. Nothing is going to start without you. The pace will be set by you. If you decide to stop, and take a deep breath, (or two) you are not going to miss anything, and you may find that you are able to take the time to enjoy every second.
Someone on here recommended taking lots of mental photographs - otherwise it all passes in a blur. Pausing every now and again to remember that specific moment also really helped with pacing myself! (On our way to our honeymoon we wrote down all of our favourite short memories, most of them never seen by the photographer) Like the moment my bridesmaid swore at me because I'd made her cry after she'd put her mascara on, or the moment a friend flashed the whole neighbourhood when the wind caught her skirt etc etc... Every now and again I read that list and remember new things about our day.
Also I set time aside to take a walk around my local park before I started getting ready and it really helped to be somewhere different and taking my mind off for 30mins or so.
On the way into church I kept my eyes on my OH. Everyone else seemed to vanish, just me & him. That helped A LOT!
During the service, until the rings, I kept hold of my bouquet which provided something for my fidgety hands to hide behind lol.
Once we were in the back signing the register it hit me that we were married and that from here on in was going to be so much fun - all the things I'd spent so long organising for exactly that purpose.
Good luck and enjoy!

Good luck for your big day and I really hope that your nerves subside!
I am a nervous person and was also worried about standing up in front of everyone on my big day.
You will find, though, that the rest of the word seems to melt away - it becomes just you, your partner, and the vicar/registrar.
Your family and friends will be (quite literally) behind you, so these are the only people in your field of vision.
