I get married in 9 days and I am getting more nervous by the day! I'm so excited about getting married and have zero doubts but i'm an anxious person (actually take daily medication for it!!) and standing up in front of 40 people and saying our vows is making me feel quite sick!
Does anybody have any tips/techniques to keep calm?

My H2b is also very nervous. We went to the church yesterday, just him, me & the Vicar and went through the whole service. I thought it might help him going through it with just the 3 of us there, before the rehearsal with all the other people involved.
Also, one thing I always do is to imagine the worst that could happen, then work out what I would do in that situation. For example, I forget what I'm supposed to say..I look at the Vicar with desperation in my eyes and he reminds me. Think about what is actually making you anxious-is it the speaking in front of people or the reapeating words or whatever it might be and work through all your worries.
The other thing is that remember the people who are there love you and your H2b very much and care about you very much, so they don't want you to be nervous and if anything does go wrong, then they will want to make it better for you.

I'm nervous too - but that's because i don't know what to expect.
I'm sure that if you chat with your OH and the person doing the service you can do what magiboo says and come up with a plan. I like the idea of giving the vicar a look if you think you're going to fluff up your bit.saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
 We're 29% of the way there...0

Try & forget that everyone else is there, just focus on your H2B & say your vows. Don't worry if no one else hears them as long as the vicar & H2B does. I'm sure you will be great:DMarried the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing. 0 0

There's a herbal thing called Gelsemium which is pretty good for stage fright, and I think I'll be taking that the evening before and morning of the wedding. I don't want to be standing in front of the registrar struggling to remember my name.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

I'm this Friday and the nerves are kicking in now. Its mainly nervous excitement and panic over things pulling together although I am anxious about walking down the aisle alone. I do suffer a bit from anxiety anyway so have some betablockers that I may take the night before and on the day0

i would say calms are good but you only need two twice for the day that way your still with it but it takes the butterflies away as others have said just focus on OH and you will do it everyone there loves you xxxxMarried the man of my dreams 27/08/20110

I was just the same as you! I was so unbelievably nervous in the weeks running up to the wedding and even the night before I didn't sleep much because I was so nervous. I had visions of me being a quivering wreck, falling over and getting all the words wrong but then when I woke up on the morning of the wedding I didn't feel nervous at all! It was so weird and really surreal, I didn't nervous or overly excited I just had a real sense of calm come over me.
I was a bit nervous when I walked down the aisle but once I held my husband's hand they disappeared. I didn't fall over and I got all my words out just right. In fact it was my DH who messed up and said "I will" way too early! But it was fine we all had a giggle and then we carried on. But it was fine we all had a giggle and then we carried on.
Just remember you have selected 40 of your closest and most special friends and family. Everyone there loves you and will only be wishing you well. Once you get to the top of the aisle, you won't notice anyone else in the room except for your H2B!
Just try to relax as best you can and enjoy it because it will fly by.
