I normally print off the order form and stuff it in with the item and write "thanks for prompt paymntr" on it.

Or sometimes a little friendly Post It note if I'm in a good mood :)

I don't like getting a receipt. I Know how much it cost and it has no value for returning goods as a shop receipt might have. Also no receipt means my wife doesn't know how much I've paid for something and accepts my "it only cost 99p including postage."

I usually put a note in along the lines of 'thanks for buying, please contact me if you have any problem with your purchase".

I include a little printed note that generally says "Thank you for buying an item from one of my auctions if you've got any problems then contact me." I also send a message via the Contact the Buyer link when I've marked the item as posted to let them know it's on the way.

I don't sell very much on Ebay, but on my last few sales I've not bothered to put anything in.

In the past though, I've printed out a paypal packing slip, sealed the package up and forget to put the slip in. :rotfl:

If I ever get a packing slip etc it just goes straight in the bin unread. It always amuses me when sellers, who use recycled packaging, "to reduce the harm on the planet", then stick a useless piece of A4 paper into a parcel.

I'm a business on ebay and I include a small slip of paper inviting customers to get in touch if they have any problems. I'm wanting to start including another slip with some promotional material on but will do that once my laser printer is up and running (see Techie thread for disaster story!).

I don't include an invoice - customers can print one off if they want. My buyers are 'joe public' - if I were selling to business users then I would include invoice/reciept.

Oh, and I also include a little bag of Haribo :)

I'd find that quite odd, unless you sell anything remotely related... Also people may be diabetic or on a diet, or just not like them.
But maybe I'm being too negative. How do people react? do they mention that on their fb?
