Hi greystonefoot,

I'm afraid we can't give an exact date but they have told us the database will be updated in December.

As soon as we have confirmation it's done we'll send out your terms and conditions. Then, if you return these along with an up to date meter read we can put through as payment.

Best wishes

Sally :)

• Hi,

In one of her note to Barter and Paltibine, Sally from N-Power kindly confirmed that all applications should be reviewed within two days of receiving them and that in the event that minor errors should be found in the application, N-Power would allow you to amend these errors. And your eligibility will begin from the date N-Power received the application.

Do you know if N-Power notifies you of these errors via e-mail if you have sent your application by both post and e-mail? Given the short leadtime now, I am very nervous about having to wait for a confirmation/notification of errors by post - particularly as my panels are being fitted on 2nd December...

Many thanks in anticipation.
• I would like to add my npower experience so far; on Thursday 24 November last I sent my application by registered post and also emailed microgeneration@npower.com with attachments of my documents. Initially the email application bounced but I then received a very useful email 'Out of Office' reply on Friday morning (some of the info should be emphasised on the npower website I believe).

On Monday 28 November I received an email from the microgeneration@npower.com address acknowledging my application, but not giving any information about processing time, etc.

Like Lafayette2002, I'm also anxious about any possible minor errors - however, I do appreciate that npower must be dealing with a large volume of applications. I have to say that Sally from npower has been a very reassuring presence in this nerve-ridden FIT application process, and hope she continues to do such a great job calming everyone down and dealing with problems!

I will give them until the end of the week and then try to contact them about progress.
• Hi Lafayette2002, In my case all of my documents and applications were returned to me by post ( 5 weeks after they received them ) for me to fix the error but the letter that came with all my forms did state as long as I sorted the error quickly and returned my application they would honour my initial application date ( 5 weeks previous ) The second error which seems to lie with Ofgen nobody at Npower bothered to tell me until Sally replied to this forum. 3 Months and still waiting.

Hi Sally,

First, thanks for taking the time to answer our questions - you are being very helpful.

Secondly, I have a similar problem to Greystonefoot. I purchased a new build property several years ago that appears to of been registerd as 'Plot2' (one of several properties being built by the developer), and not the acutal name that has been assigned to my house. As such my MCS certificate has a different address on it to my acutal address, even though the supply number is correct.

I have already sent off my application form (by post) with a covering letter explaining the situation and also a copy of my electricity bill showing that the supply numbers are infact the same.

Is this sufficient?

Unfortunately I only read this post after I sent my hard copy. I was going to email through all the documents to the microgen email address as a backup and wondered if I should add anything else or alter my FIT form in anyway?

Any help would be appreciated as I am sure there are probably others like me.

Regards

Nick

Hi Peakoil,

I've just spoken to the team and they don't see this being a problem as they'll be able to check your supply number against your account.

The only problem that may occur is when registering on to the Ofgem central register as the address may appear different. You'll need to make sure that your address is registered with Royal Mail so if the address isn't on Ofgem's central register, then we can get them to update their system.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions, and you can always get in touch at forumresponse@npower.com

Best wishes,

Sally :)
