Virgin Mobile warranty repair
Hello,
I bought two phones on 24 month contracts in December from Virgin Mobile, both Blackberrys.
They've both developed faults in recent weeks, the first phone has a loose usb connector and won't charge and the second phones middle button has stopped working.
VM are refusing to fix either phone under the warranty as the faults are categorised as misuse and are not covered by the VM warranty.
They told me that it may be covered by the manufacturers warranty, but I would need to contact Blackberry.
I checked the Blackberry support website this evening and it stated that Blackberry don't offer a repair service in the UK. This service is handled by the mobile phone companies or retailer.
Does anyone know where I stand with this? I found a guide on the Which website (I can't post a link as I'm a new user). I don't see the point of contacting the manufacturer as suggested by the guide as they don't fulfill the warranty service in the UK.
Are VM within their rights not to fix the phones? Although they've categorised the faults as misuse. The phones are used by my younger brother and sister who have assured me they've not been misused.. To be fair to them, there's barely a scratch on either phone so it looks like they have been looked after. Both faults seem to be common faults with Blackberrys judging by the brief googling I've done on the subject this evening.
Should my next step be to put something in writing or would a trip into one of their stores rather than phoning them be advisable?
Thanks in advance

I bet they have rammed the charger in, those sockets can be tricky. Take it to a blackberry authorised repair company, search google. I wouldnt believe that they have been kind to it, not exactly going to say.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I am not sure about the usb connector, but with the button Virgin are pulling the fast one. They've both developed faults in recent weeks, the first phone has a loose usb connector and won't charge and the second phones middle button has stopped working.
