He asked me loads of other questions only I would know NI number, how much and how do I get paid ctc and into what bank, my dob, address and home phone number yet would not ask another security question or allow me to change my answer.

All those other questions could be answered through identity theft. The only answer that can't be stolen is a good security one. I've highlighted the funniest part of your reply above.
    It's someone else's fault.
  • I recently called child tax credits for an update on my claim as I have been waiting 4 weeks for a payment as it is and was asked my recent childcare provider. It was only when I failed the question, it was then that i realised that i had changed my provider almost a year ago and when questions where put into place it was actually my old provider.
I now have to wait two days for an advisor to call and go and show id although i don't have a passport or driving license! I am now panicking that they will stop my on going claim as I have nothing to live on as it is as i am currently only receiving sick pay, and couldn't manage waiting another four weeks! has anyone had claims or payments stopped due to this?
