Need help to find a network for calls/text from theUK-Southern Ireland.. Please help!

I live in the UK and my boyfriend lives in Dublin... Im finding really hard to get the right network/sim card for my mobile. All the ones i have looked at are for Northen Ireland... can anyone help me please because my bills are ridiculous. :)

    Can you call to a landline?
    If so, it's 5p per call on the top of your standard rate for calling UK landlines (you can use inclusive minutes).

    If you and your boyfriend have landlines have a look at the Irish Equivalent of 18185 www.13434.ie

    Majority of providers offer geographical access numbers for calling from mobiles.
  • Thanks for the quick replys. No we only have mobile phones. :( I think i will go into a shop and find out if thers any bundles or something that will make things cheaper. Thanks for you help though :D

    Your friend can call you for 7c/min via the above mentioned www.13434.ie.
    You can call him for 10c/min using the same.
    I don't think you'll be able to find anything much better than this.

    If you both have either a laptop / desktop avaliable have you considered VOIP ? most offer free of charge calls between registered users anywhere in the world ie sipgate or both register with gmail for voice and or video :)
  • It amazes me that calls to places such as India, Poland, Ghana etc, are 1p a minute for mobile calls yets to call our neighbouring country costs 14p+!

    In fact Ghana mobiles are 13p+ for calling from mobiles.

    Some remote countries can be cheap for you because mobile users there pay for incoming calls.
