Can anyone tell me regarding the Firefox Add on 'NoScript' do I allow it on the sites I'm visiting - kinda confused about it and not sure what I'm meant to do?
Eg. I was on Ebay and it said to view this page properly, your web browser needs to run JavaScript. So for those who use this do you select 'allow ebay.co.uk' and do I select the same option for each site I visit?0 -

I just allow the minimum required for the website to run satisfactorily. Generally only the site name script for starters.
e.g. For MSE, I only allow moneysavingexpert.com
For ebay, I allow ebay.co.uk and ebaystatic.com
Watch out if you bank online as some logins require a re-direction, you don't ordinarily notice this, but NoScript can stop the re-direction, or sometimes the new page will not work correctly, and when you allow the script, the page refreshes and you lose the link.
Don't be put off though, it can be disconcerting if it happens but you just learn to make the relevant permissions permanent.
Sorry if this all sounds daunting, but it really is worthwhile putting in a bit of effort.

Unless you stick to a handful of websites, noscript will be a pain as it stops just about every website working properly, and you'll end up allowing all which defeats the object. Sanboxie is simpler to use from a security point of view.!!

I have to agree with you closed, it is abit of a pain as I seem to be allowing alot of sites and that defeats the purpose. Will have a look at Sanboxie - I'm sure it's ok to install it along with Avast and Malwarebytes?Unless you stick to a handful of websites, noscript will be a pain as it stops just about every website working properly, and you'll end up allowing all which defeats the object.
