    When did you open it?

15th March 2011 in a branch as it is a joint account.

The rate for accounts opened on that date is 2% (plus 0.20% reward), not 3%.

So the letter I have that says I am getting 3% plus .2% reward is wrong?

Best to check with Halifax. 3% hasn't been offered since January 2010 on that account.

Sounds like a letter for an ISA Direct Reward.

Guaranteed Saver Reward is 2.0% plus 0.2%.

    Check their web site.

Right, sorry, the 3.2% is for the ISA. The savings is 2.2%.

Need new glasses. Everything says Reward etc.

Also there is no pending transactions button or anything from my savings account to my current account. I will just have to see what happens in a couple of days.

I just noticed in my online account that there is an option for instant transfers, maybe I should have used that instead.

This is all new to me.

It won't show as pending. It goes in to a back office area for a human being to manually carry out the transaction.

Web Saver Reward will give you better rate, better online functionality but no ATM card. That works better for me.

I used to have numerous accounts with different banks, but my OH complained that if anything happened to me she wouldn't know where the money was, so it is now a joint current account and a joint savings account, pity we couldn't have a joint ISA.

And no more online only accounts.

I am forbidden to open any more accounts. One current account, one savings account and an ISA each. That's it. Peace and quiet is better than 1% extra.

I just opened one of these accounts in joint names, haven't told the OH yet, I wonder why it wasn't mentioned when I opened the new joint accounts. Possibly because it is an online one.

Did the teller? is that still what they are still called, make any commission on opening a reward current account and a reward savings account for us?

DDs and pensions still aren't transferred after 5 weeks.

Perhaps it was something else you specified as being vital, e.g access to your money via ATMs, which (as opinions4u stated earlier) you get with the Guaranteed Saver Reward but not with the WebSaver Reward.

But you can always open a 'Websaver with Cashcard' account (with minimal money in it), and if you need access to WS Reward money via an ATM, do an instant transfer of 'enough' over to the WS cashcard account, and Bob's your uncle ... ;)
