Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 5

Well I haven't looked at the spreadsheet yet today, think it will be too traumatising! Think I will grab a box of velvet tissues and take a look... this morning, I seemed to think there were a few new good deals, but to be honest there are far more deal losses than there are new deals! It definately will be refreshing change though, really sick of buying strawberry comfort lol0

Why do people persist in asking if vouchers are in yet? its mentioned at least once on every page of the thread for the next six hours after they are in...TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0

I am waiting for my first DTD voucher. Please could someone explain what they mean by killing off a voucher?
Thanks

I think I need to plan my shopping better, have 2 vouchers to spend £19 and £20 but the basket I had planned comes to £18ish with a DTD of £19
I need to add some items that are NA or same at Asda0 -
Have decided that I will just go to Tesco when I get finished work tonight and get a later bus home. That'll stop me stressing for my voucher to be here before half 1 lol
Also gives me more of a chance to decide what to buy!.•¨¨*:•..•

Because it's come back as N/A for some people, including me.
I would rather just buy it from Asda if you use it (£3 for 3L is great), or get it from Tesco when you're using a voucher so that if it does come back as N/A you've paid for it with a voucher and not money.
their own T&Cs state:
The main reasons for products not being matched against Asda are: (all examples were correct as of 17/03/2011):- Tesco has a larger range than Asda, so it's not possible to match everything.
- For example, Tesco sell a 500g, 750g and 1kg pack of Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. Asda only sell a 500g and 750g. Therefore if the 1kg product was bought, this would not have been comparable.
- Tesco and Asda may stock the same product but in different sizes, which are not matched
- For example, Tesco sell a 200g pack of cream crackers whereas Asda sell a 300g pack. As the difference in pack size is more than 10% these are not classed as comparable
- Asda stores may stock a product, but it is not listed on the Asda website
- For example, Tesco sell a 250ml and 400ml Dove Nourishing Body Lotion whereas Asda only sell the 250ml variant on their website.
No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0 - Tesco has a larger range than Asda, so it's not possible to match everything.

Some people feel better to use up a voucher on products that don't give another voucher back when they have reached the monthly limit of £100. Therefor you will not receive a new voucher back from spending a voucher thus "killing" the voucher.

Or as I did, doubling up clubcard points & killing a voucher meaning I paid 25p for my new mobile phone :cool:Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Instead of recycling a voucher - ie: using a DTD voucher to buy more DTD items and get another voucher you 'kill' a voucher by using it for non-DTD shopping - ie: clothes or price matched food/ BOGOF offers etc. No further voucher is genertaed (tesco will be cheaper or the goods (clothes) will be N?A - so the voucher has been 'killed'.
