Another great big thank you to all SS editors and contributors - really appreciate the time and effort you put into this - time you could be spending in tescos! I am more than happy to contribute to any charities you suggest as a small token of thanks for all the moneysaving through DTDing.

I made it to day and spent my first lot of vouchers - had a lovely SA on the till, who was more than happy for me to split my shopping and pay using my DTD vouchers! She didn't ask for receipt at all, and everything went fine, including some shorts & school shoes for my son! Topped up with lynx, coke, a kids toothbrush, yoghurts and razor blades.... so hopefully got a few more DTD vouchers coming!

I then went to another Tesco and spent my last 2 vouchers on cokes and normal shopping. In total spent around £25 of my own cash...

Just about to put in my receipt details for today and when these vouchers are in, i am looking to get :
Vanish 1.5kg, more razors, lynx, toothpastes, coke cans and things that we actually use as well as some treats.

Thanks again so much to everyone for posting.

And thats the risk we take. Tesco will have set aside money for this promotion and they will gather stats on it so they will be aware in lots of different ways of what is happening.

Tesco was quoted in January as stating it was allocating £200m for the current promotion. This is chicken feed when compared to the £3.8b profit it made over the past 12 months. Buyers for Tesco Extra/Superstores cover 682 units, Metro and Express 1471 stores. Does anyone seriously think our small band of die hard :j DTDers really could affect Mr T's profitability? Could the buyers change/negotiate prices with suppliers servicing all the stores overnight?
Come on people, be real, calm down and let us all enjoy our shopping trips before Mr T stop the promotion.
A very BIG well done to our hard working ss administrators.
