How the heck does the security know what you are spending and what is it to do with him??Just walk in the store and go about your business, obviously don't try to make eye contact with security or anything daft like that. I'd be more worried about being 'trouted' than spoken to by a security jobsworth.
:rotfl:
Ahh I see, not his job to spot that, well that's ok then phew!
I find security much scarier than the till staff, but then I have never had a trout moment (touch-wood --->) and I find the lady at customer services much scarier than security :rotfl:
If asked I think I will just say I enjoy shopping at Tesco, which to be fair, is very trueComping wishlist for 2017

It is personal data, your card number is your personal data, and he used it in a manner for which he is not authorised, whether he could see it on the receipt or not.
He looked at the personal data which is shown on the receipt, then looked at another receipt to look for that specified piece of personal data in order to trace your shopping history. He's not allowed to use that information for that purpose.
That is not the reason you provided that personal data. You provided it as a means of payment. The only reason the last 4 digits are on the receipt is for your own records.
I agree. I don't believe they should use debit/credit card information as proof of one household/person using the vouchers. I quite often pay by debit card for my dd who gives me the cash later, and also buy for my niece. (she is real lol). I would be very upset if someone was using that data to track what I was doing. As others have said, the card details are for payment not for matching against shopping/vouchers.0 -

Why can't Tesco make our lives easier by having a dedicated DTD isle, including a frozen and chilled section?0

As far as I can see there is nothing on there about retaining card details.

The OP did say he was identified only from the last 4 digits so card security wasn't compromised. Can't see what all the fuss is about to be honest.0 -

Hmm, strange. I bought 2 x 6 packs of finger rolls at T, and it came back as
T - 1.00
A - 0.60
so DTD - 0.80
Cost - 0.20 for 12 finger rolls0 -
lol! at scrummy - cos there'd be no-one else in any other aisle in the shop - a bit like the alcohol aisle on New Years Eve lol!
Good idea though0 -

Yeah! You can usually spot me in a store - I'm the headless chicken running from aisle to aisle and back again with my head buried in a shopping listDTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0
