BTW went to Fleets yesterday and was a pleasant experience. No getting taken to CS. Young girl on checkout, 2 seperate shops, no calling supervisor either. Maybe things are looking up for that store.
I thought the same until yesterday when I went to the 10 items or less till. The girl said she thought I had to go to CS, I said I didnt the day before so she asked another CS who said it was OK to put through. So it still looks as if not SA's know the correct procedure.
On top of that, I gave her a £2 coin to make the difference up on my voucher and noticed she had written something on my new receipt. When I got outside, I checked and she had actually rung through that I gave her a £20 note, not a £2 coin, and it said on the receipt that she had given me £19 odd change! She had crossed out the £20 and written £2 but I am wondering if her till will be out - still its her problem not mine!0 -

Did you get change from £2 or from £20? It doesn't matter what she entered that you gave her as long as you got the right change, the till doesn't "know".
It's only a game

Don't know, it looked real busy but we have family visiting and they didn't want to go
My last few experiences there have been ok, through till no probes, young lads targeted!!! It's just the older lady at cs that is a nightmare but I don't let her put me off, I like the challenge! Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

Mind you- with fish, smoked salmon prawns and loads of rump steak our freezers in the kitchen and garage are now full. Don't have a chest freezer. WE are actually thinking of searching for a cheap second hand one now!
I'm just back from Tesco and I'm away to prepare smoked salmon and prawns for tonights supper. Yum:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0 -

Prices for second hand freezers have soared in the last couple of weeks on Ebay  don't know if it's competing DTDers bidding against each otherlife is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0 -

This happened to me yesterday, gave her a £5 and she keyed £50.
Receipt shows £47.xx back... we had a laugh about it and she said "I can't give you that, of course... that would mean tesco are paying for your food" :rotfl:0 -

I know! I got my virtually brand new chest freezer off Freecycle about 3 years ago now. But it is all about being there at the right time to nab this sort of thing in my experience.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0 -
I haven't had anything to add yet, so I'm been keeping quiet, but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to this forum, especially to all those who created the SS and have contributed their talents. So far, I have done 5-6 DTD shops over the last couple of months and with the exception of the first one, where I messed up and 'only' got back £8.00, the rest have all been for £20. I have to say that I never shopped at Tesco before and all this DTD'ing there has turned me into a Tesco customer (even after the DTD promotion ends.) Thanks everyone! :-)0
