    Blimey squigs - who dropped that receipt, a house full of rich students? That's a random mixture of pot noodle/feasters/pizza stuff plus a sprinkling of Tesco Finest items! Who else would buy a trolly full like that?

    Never mind Cleethorpes, it was all gone in Durham, and today is the first day I have actually managed to remember about it!! (And I still have never seen a rack of lamb there!)

    Thanks shjo for that post. It is a lovely word "doolally" that you have used. For what it is worth, here is the Wikt account of the derivation:

    Etymology
    from Deolali, a British army camp 100 miles north-east of Bombay where British soldiers would stay after finishing their tour of duty, to await transport back to Britain; and tap, a Persian or Urdu word for a malarial fever (ultimately from Sanskrit tapa (“heat” or “torment”

    Sorry to intrude with a touch of culture and etymology, but it might help on "Mastermind" if the specialist subject of "Tesco DTD" is not available.

    Oh loving it - can't beat a bit of random fact. I'm away to impress DH now:rotfl:

    please can somebody help me as im struggling to work it out...

    how much DTD would £8.00 in money work out for the 15kg cod loin??

    much appreciated x

    £8 (assuming tesco!) = .53kg
    .53kg @ 8.90 = £4.72 at Asda

    DTD = £6.56
