Just back from T's, went to use the voucher and the SA said "Do you have a clubcard?" I said no and she replied "Funny that, not one person that's used a voucher today has had one!!" I just fluffed it but I think best I get myself a temporary one:rotfl:
Oh and have bought the cod loin today so will report back on that tomorrow, piddly little bit of fish for £8!!! but am assured by my mum that it will taste delicious
I had a look for the cod loin and it was £15 per kg on the fish counter. The pre packed was £16 per kg. I wasn't sure what to do so I chickened out. I really hope you get your DTD on it!0 -

Just checking in and saying Hi to everybody. Hope you've all had a good DTD day.
Anything special going on today.. Anybody managed to get the Flumps?
Confession time: family day out cycling/walking with the dog across some of the moors, anyways when we finished wife says can we go to local pub we know and have a cold drink?
I replied 'NO as we have DTD goodies at home that Mr T paid us to consume!'
Wife and kids, I think the dog got involved as well, in the car park stating that bloody DTD was ruining a day out.........OK fair enough we went to the pub and bloomin great it was.
Flumps are 9 pence each now in Tesco..:( I checked this morning before I went shopping.0 -

My username is similar to my actual name, and I had a discussion about DTD being good vs bad for Tesco earlier with some friends who use or are aware of MSE and this thread, and I just would rather not have them match my username up with me iyswim.
I honestly couldn't give two hoots if its good or bad for Tesco - its good for me and my family and everyone on here and thats all that matters to me! Selfish as it maybe I have no feelings towards a supermarket thats made profits of - what was it 3.4 billion this year?? other than Ill take what I can when I can!0 -
temporaryaccount wrote: »This is a different account to usual since I've been having this discussion with people in "real life" and don't necessarily want to broadcast my usual username to all and sundry, but do people generally think that Price Check/DTD is good for Tesco or bad for Tesco?
- Is the deal being advertised widely enough that it is getting them new customers? Everyone I've mentioned it to so far either hasn't heard of the offer or hasn't used it even for a usual shop!
- Would a non MSE-ite who shops at Sainsbury/Morrisons/Asda be attracted by DTD to do their usual shop in Tesco to see if DTD saves them money?
- Is the new custom/additional custom outweighed by the savings being made by "normal" level shopers and MSE-ite shopers?
- Since the deal was open ended, when they eventually close it off will that attract negative publicity (eg, "they're ending the deal because Asda really is cheaper!") and will that outweigh any previous benefits?
What do people think?0 -

I went to it too last night and used one a few pence short of £20 - no probs although the young lad didn't know why I was giving him my receipt :rotfl:
had that each time, offer the recepit and they dont want it, had pass the parcel today gave it to him he gave it back, gave it back saying "need to check" then gave up and just paid the extra £1.20 for my £21.20 shop.0 -
