Does anybody know if theres a promo on the 100g Lindt Bunnies at Mr T's? Only i notice that asda has them 2 for £3 as part of the 'kids eggs' promo and tesco have them at £3 each!!!

Could you imagine my kids faces if they woke up on easter morning and found lots of little lindt bunnies all over the house!?!

I WANT FREE LINDT BUNNIES!!!!! :D lol

100g bunnies were £3 in T, £2 at A so £1net after DTD, I think there is a multibuy but not sure of the details. They don't seem to show on T.com for some strage reason. The spreadsheet has 50g bunnies at 44p net. I've already got a couple of 100g and might get a couple of the 50g. The 100g were on the spreadsheet the other day but not under seasonal.

This is a different account to usual since I've been having this discussion with people in "real life" and don't necessarily want to broadcast my usual username to all and sundry, but do people generally think that Price Check/DTD is good for Tesco or bad for Tesco?

    - Is the deal being advertised widely enough that it is getting them new customers? Everyone I've mentioned it to so far either hasn't heard of the offer or hasn't used it even for a usual shop!
    - Would a non MSE-ite who shops at Sainsbury/Morrisons/Asda be attracted by DTD to do their usual shop in Tesco to see if DTD saves them money?
    - Is the new custom/additional custom outweighed by the savings being made by "normal" level shopers and MSE-ite shopers?
    - Since the deal was open ended, when they eventually close it off will that attract negative publicity (eg, "they're ending the deal because Asda really is cheaper!") and will that outweigh any previous benefits?

    What do people think?

Does your normal username indicate that you work for Tesco? Im interested to know why someone's username on MSE would indicate that they shouldnt be on this thread? If anyone is true MSE they can be on this thread - they can stick to the 5 a month rule....Not having a pop by any means but just interested

    The barcode starts with 0255967

Tesco was £ 8.26 and Asda was £ 6.19 on the price check receipt.

At the end of the day everyone knows the price of food scale from most expensive store to least...

    Waitrose - Sainsbury - Tesco - Asda.

The last two are very closely matched ....Womble any receipt and there normally is a few pence either way.

I doubt many people know much about the promotion... 1 MONTH IN AND I CONSTANTLY FIND THAT CASHIERS AND FRONT END SUPERVISORS ARE UNSURE OR KNOW !!!!!! ALL ABOUT IT!!

Most of the promotional material is down in store and rarely do you see an advert on TV promoting it any more.

The only reason the promotion hasn't ended or can't end soon is because it would be Tescos saying that they aren'y cheaper and that would be a P.R. nightmare. It will continue for a while but I am sure they will alter the T&Cs again despite them raking in 10 million a day worldwide.
  • Emma - no, I don't work for Tesco! (Who would put something like that in their username anyway? Boring!) My username is similar to my actual name, and I had a discussion about DTD being good vs bad for Tesco earlier with some friends who use or are aware of MSE and this thread, and I just would rather not have them match my username up with me iyswim.
