OH has just had a text back from our buyers saying they've still heard nothing and are going to chase everyone up at their end............so the waiting continues

We instructed the surveyor on a Tuesday, he went on Thurs morning, spent 3 hours poking about, gave us a telephone summary on Thurs afternoon and emailed the full report on Friday....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

When my Homebuyers Survey was done the surveyor phoned me with a verbal report the same evening and posted the full paper report the next day.
I got an AIP from the Building Soc on a Monday, posted the application forms on Wednesday and recieved my mortgage approval on the Friday. Fantastic service!!!0 -
Hi guys,
Just a quick update on this -
We have just heard that our buyers have received their mortgage offer today. They said that our house was valued at the agreed sale price.
However, they said they didn't receive the survey results back, but that these have gone straight to their solicitor.
Does that sound like the usual way these things are done? I'm probably worrying for nothing as this may well be normal, but as we've never had to take out a mortgage to buy a house ourselves I'm not sure if this is the norm?
Do you think I can I breath a sigh of relief after this long wait now and assume we can look forward to exchange without too many further hold-ups?
Many thanks,
