  • Have you seen the out of bundle charges with the T-mobile/ChitterChatter deal - made my eyes water!

You should be much more concerned about actually GETTING any cashback if you use Quidco. Search this site and you'll find that out in spades.

Really? I am two for two at the moment, £100 from Three, £125 from Vodafone..

I would recommend giffgaff, as they are cheaper than Chitter Chatter when calling numbers not included in your calls allowance. Plus you can get a free microsim with £5 credit from lots of websites.

I'd say avoid VF... not only is their CS abysmal, but you also have to deal with the most useless online account management, there's no easy way of getting your data use (well you can, but you have to download data into excel, filter and add...) though I think they have some kind of app for the iPhone (if they've fixed it, it wasn't working properly when they released it) oh and I'm finding the 3G coverage in London is getting worse and worse.

It also took a year to get my cashback as the third party VF were using went bust (or something along those lines).

Edit: I'm moving over to 3 very soon. I don't expect their CS to be particularly good but I've had plenty of practice with Voda (it's called email the CEO - only way to get anywhere) and if 3 manage not to lose my PAC after I've given it to them then that'll be one thing they will have done better than Voda anyway :p

    Hi Yolina,

All too late I'm afraid, I have my PAC and I have no intention of renewing.

    - When I took out my contract, I was told the phone I wanted was in stock and would be sent the following day... all lies of course, ended up waiting a few weeks.

    - My PAC disappeared into the big black hole that is your IT system, this was at the time you could only port numbers if the PAC was given at the time of ordering. To port my number, a second line had to be arranged, my number ported to that and then the actual phone linked to the 2nd line and the first line cancelled... I ended up with 2 credit searches, and many calls from the Director's Office who were trying to sort it all out.

    - Then there was the introduction of charges for going over the limit of existing contracts with unlimited internet... despite being told and having it confirmed by email (by the web team) that my phone/contract qualified for a "new" 1GB limit instead of 500MB without any other change to my allowances, I was then told that I had to lose some of my minutes...

    - The online account management is a disaster, there often seems to be a maintenance page and 'please try again later' message in some areas of the account. Chances are it will take several tries before being able to do things such as downloading the bill. People have been requesting for well over a year to have a clear display of data used, all that happens is that you keep saying that you're 'working on it' but in the meantime we keep having to download data into excel.

    - Customer service is poor - call 191 and the chances are that you'll get cut off by the advisor. There seems to be a 'Big Book of Random, Misleading and Confusing Answers' that you quote from. For instance, I asked a simple question to find out exactly when my allowances were resetting, I got 4 different answers between the web team and the director's office and it took over a month for someone to confirm.

    - The network is now next to useless in some parts of London, but since the masts in the affected areas are fully functional, we're told it's a 'capacity issue' and the solution we're given is not use 3G and switch our phones to 2G instead. In areas where masts are down and you are aware of it, nothing gets fixed for months sometimes, it seems that you are either 'waiting for parts' or that there are 'access issues'.

    - Despite having a 'no marketing communications please', you've started sending me texts about Vodafone VIP and how I can buy tickets before they are on general sale. I also got several calls from outsourced 3rd parties a couple of months back.

    - There was a problem with the online account in October last year I think, where phone numbers and email addresses could have been obtained by anyone. It took you 8 hours from the time you were aware of this to actually taking the page down. Incidentally, my complaint to the ICO about your rather cavalier attitude towards data protection was upheld.

Given the above, why would I want to stay?

    Thanks but no thanks.

The main problem is the worsening capacity issue on your network, which even with the best will in the world, cannot be solved overnight. With all the other issues added, I really see no reason to stay and I simply do not want to be associated with the Vodafone brand in any way. I have a simple solution to all this, and that's to move to another network.
