Best Way to get Euros

Hi

I have a Santrander debit card, and going to France. It seems very complicated, but am I right that the best way to obtain some Euros is to go to a cashpoint, get some cash out then exhchange the sterling for Euros before I go?
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Its not complicated, have you read the travelmoney maximiser?

You dont go to an ATM BEFORE you travel, you use an ATM in France and get euros out

It is complicated when you haven't done it before, otherwise I wouldn't be asking for advice....

The cheapest way; Travelex Cash Passport Globe .
Top it up with £s and use it to spend or withdraw cash whilst abroad. A 1.49% flat fee for spending and withdrawals.

    Santander Debit Card:
Spending penalty: £1.25. Load fee: 2.75%.
Cash withdrawal: 1.5% min £1.99(plus Load Fee of 2.75%)

If you have a Santander Debit Card from a Zero Current Account there are no charges to use it abroad either to pay for services or withdraw cash at an ATM.

Iused mine last year in Greece and Cyprus and can confirm no charges and a good rate of exchange.
